Position Summary:
The Strategic Applications Engineer (SAE) for Union Semiconductor provides technical support for the Company's Power product line and supports industrial and consumer customers throughout world. Additionally, the SAE promotes product solutions and trains the sales force, as required. The ultimate objectives of this position are to assist customers with design-in of our Power supply and power management products, to aggressively win customer design and grow revenue for Union Semi in this market. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and will build on Union Semi's successes with power supply and management products.
Provides application support for power supply and management products
Develops reference designs for power supply and management products
Promotes power supply and management products to worldwide customers
Promotes other mixed-signal products to worldwide customers, as needed
Requirements:
Fluent in English
Strong writing and presentation skills
The ability to form and maintain close relationships with customers
The ability to work as a team with the Account Managers and FAEs
In-depth knowledge of analog and digital circuits, including passive and active discrete components, op amps, data converters, logic components, serial communication devices, and microcontrollers
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
Up to 30% travel
